Edinburgh Bus Tours’ new mobile website

ImageEdinburgh Bus Tours has unveiled a new mobile compatible website. It is designed to provide customers with its bus tour information and everything they need to know to make the most of their sightseeing. It was designed by Edinburgh consultancy Whitespace and it coincides with the operator’s recent brand refresh. An Edinburgh Bus Tour app, available for both IOS and Android devices, has also been introduced. It allows visitors to make the most of their time in Edinburgh through a host of features. It was developed in-house by digital designer John McEvoy.

General Manager at Edinburgh Bus Tours, Tim Armour, said, ‘With an increasing number of visitors to Edinburgh finding their way around the city using their mobile phones, it is crucial that we are able to make our tours as accessible as possible. The new website does just that, offering clear, concise and interesting information in a mobile-friendly format. With festival season just kicking off, I’m sure we’ll see a considerable increase in web traffic, which we hope will be converted into ticket sales.’


Edinburgh Bus Tours keep five stars

ImageEdinburgh Bus Tours has retained its five star rating from VisitScotland. The operator was first awarded the tourist organisation’s highest grading in October 2011. Edinburgh Bus Tours claims it is now the third most popular paid for attraction in Scotland after Edinburgh Castle and Edinburgh Zoo. In 2012, over 500,000 visitors boarded its tour buses. This year, it has launched the new look ‘Edinburgh World Heritage Official Tour: A City of Contrasts’ in partnership with Edinburgh World Heritage. This earned a VisitScotland Regional Thistle Award in recognition of the successful partnership.

This award is testament to the excellent customer service my team provides all year round. With dry weather and the festival season round the corner, we’re aiming to attract a record number of customers this year.’
